I have a brother that is just beginning grad school at the University of West Virginia in Morgantown, WV. I had never been to West Virginia or Virginia in the fall so this year I decided to go visit my brother and see some beautiful fall colors as well. The fall colors were just about peak when I got to Morgantown so the first day I was there we went to Coopers Rock State Forest which is only 15 minutes or so from the University. I was amazed by the incredible colors I saw and had a blast exploring the wooded areas.
After a couple days in Morgantown, I met up with a friend from Instagram, @HBMertz, and did a little roadtrip through West Virginia and then into Virginia where we met up with @Alx.Martin, the director of @Wilderness_Culture.
I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty that these two states had to offer. I think next fall I need to do a longer roadtrip down the whole east coast though.
